Constructed in 1917, and torn down in 2002, the original Columbia City Peabody Library has been near and dear to many hearts for 85 years.
In an effort to preserve the memory of this building, a 3D model is being constructed, using as much reference material as possible. Photos, blueprints, employee & patron recollections…all these will help to bring the structure back to life. If all goes according to the plan, the 3D model will be made publicly available. Exploring it in VR might be an option.
So…if you loved the original Peabody Library, and would like to help with the digital reconstruction, you can help by locating and sharing photos. If you come across some you would like to contribute, please get in touch!
